, ONE PAGE, 7 X 9, JANUARY 6, 1938, THANKING HIM FOR THE THROW HE SENT AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT. IN PART: "Dear Cordell...thank you for that most lovely 'throw'  (the president has added the quotes by pen) which you sent me for Christmas. It is a joy and a great comfort.
Please excuse me for not writing this letter longhand but I need not tell you that these are busy days
...As ever yours, Franklin Roosevelt." President Roosevelt was known to use a blanket or throw over his legs when sitting in his wheel chair. He was careful never to be seen using his wheelchair in public. Light stain to right edge, otherwise in fine condition.
