This listing is for a set of three luncheon plates in the
Alberta
design. The fine china plates, which measure 9-1/8" in diameter, were first introduced by
Castleton
in 1952. The pattern has since been retired. These plates feature a cream body/center, green and gold leaf band, and gold trim.
THE MAIN COURSE
You'll find these luncheon plates to be,
at worst
, in near-mint condition with only very minimal and minuscule surface wear.
(If I see even a single utensil mark or the most insignificant scratch, I don't list an item as mint). Any
utensil mark or scratch that may exist is "clean" and not the dark, dingy, gray, scuff marks that are so common.
T
he decor and gold trim are in beautiful condition, the colors are vivid with no fading or discoloration, and the glaze shines like new. Additionally, all of the plates are completely free of, cracks, chips, nicks, crazing, stains, repairs, permanent hard water deposits, and detergent residue.
These salad plates are in
far better
condition than what is typically considered to be "excellent" or "gently used".
